A sweet and touching story emerges in this emotional drama by Italian playwright Gianfranco Nicolini.

Laurence is a talented painter of passion and needs models for his latest work.  19 year old Candida is put forward for the job by her sister, Rose, a friend to the artist.  Working alongside the sensual Pontius, Candida quickly and naïvely falls in love.  Laurence's main stipulation to the models is that they do not interact outside of work as the passion will be lost, but the two youngsters take no heed and a poignant story of love and lust unfolds.

The interaction between the 3D animations, videoclips and the actors is captivating.  The play has subtitles that appear on a large screen at the back of the stage that draws your attention to the visuals above.  One particular animation of two hands gripping and stroking is a beautiful portrayal of passion and innocence.  The background music is unimposing and yet is a perfect representation of the intensity of this love story.  Though the animation of a baby is quite odd, it is necessary to help in the understanding of the storyline.

This is a very moving story of two young lovers and the definition between passion and love.  The actors are incredibly believable and the combination of the on-screen visuals and stage performance grabs your attention and captivates you into a deep and intense arthouse-style play.

Two word verdict: filmhouse lovers
