One of Curiofestival.com's recommended must-see shows is The Absinthe Monologues.

I think all the website's staff has found the time to go and see this show out of our busy schedules. I certainly enjoyed the spectacle

I think Sinjin, the cad and main protagonist of the play would be delighted that Scribbler found time out to sketch him in his full debauched, absinthe-soaked glory!

I bumped into one of my all-time comedy heroes a few nights back.

Jerry Sadowitz was out mingling with fans, showing off a few card tricks and  learning a few new ones from the public too.

He's a surprisingly sweet and shy man off-stage and I dedicate my sketch to the man.

Frankie Boyle is back at the Edinburgh Festival this year. I was lucky enough to catch him at one of his sell-out gigs this week.

Luckily the comic, who is notoriously nasty with his audiences, never caught my scribbling away in the corner.

I caught Andy Zaltzman last week and I hope he finds my sketch flattering.

He's one of the quieter, more gentle-natured of the comics, though his comedy still has a tough political edge.

I don't know what he'd think of my illustration of him but hopefully it would make him chuckle.
