Barschak: hairy with drink

Don’t let anyone with a Festival brochure in one hand and a pair of opera glasses in the other, tell you that the Festival is a celebration of the arts.

Bollocks. It’s all about the booze.

The Edinburgh Festival has long held a tradition as being a month-long jolly for the stars and their PR folk to mingle with the unwashed public and raise their glasses to all that is themselves.

If theatre or comedy or dance is at the Festival’s heart, it’s alcohol that is the blood that keeps it all pumping.

Last year was no exception in the drinking stakes. We at Curiofestival.com were witness to a shocking assemblage of drunken antics that just goes to show, that if you hold an event in Scotland’s capital city, then you can’t expect the alcohol to not turn up and cause some bad behaviour.

As a prelude to this year, check out our photo-feature of reviled comedian Aaron Barschak. He turned up at last year's Festival and terrorised revellers as he went on one of his drunken rampages.
