It's been a while, gentle reader. I can only excuse my neglect by pointing
out the lack of internet access and the steady decline of my physical and
mental wellbeing. The last week of the Fringe is taxing on every level.
but rewarding at the same time. Just like real taxation, which is rewarded
with roads and hospitals and schools and Trident

I'm babbling. In print.  Here's a quick rundown in bullet-point form of the
last few days:

40 Feathered Winks - a joyous show with moments of true power. The routine of a husband and wife so tired with each other that they make desultory love without once looking away from their books is one of the cleverest pieces of physical theatre I've seen in years.

Aenaeas Faversham Returns - hour handsome men doing brilliantly-conceived and written comedy. What's not to like? The imaginary friend sketch made me well up (why don't more sketch comedy shows aim to move audiences as well as make them laugh? What would Chekhov say?) And the invisible man sketch made me double over with laughter. I love them.

Cabaret Vaudeville this week has been terrific but exhausting. It now takes three Red Bulls before I can exert myself on stage.

Saw Brendon Burns on Wednesday. Anyone who's seen the show will understand what I mean when I say that - though it's not in fact the best stand up hour I've ever seen - it's changed the way I think about stand up comedy. I'm not sure though if it's changed my view of 'political correctness' and I largely feel that anyone who still uses that tired, hackneyed and fundamentally empty phrase is slightly missing the point.

I suppose this blog should be about more than the shows I've seen so I can also announce that my 'bukkake' video is now on Youtube. I'm very excited and it looks rather wonderful. I hope I never look older than that image (and the video can age and wither and decay).

I wasn't christened Dorian for nothing!
